Broadwell Village Plan 2026 – Draft Documents

Thank you to everyone who took part in Broadwell’s 2026 Community Survey. The views and comments received have now been used to prepare a draft Broadwell Village Plan 2026, providing a practical framework to help guide future decisions about the village.

We are now inviting residents to read two draft documents:

Broadwell Village Plan 2026 – Village Circulation Draft
This sets out the priorities and actions that have emerged from the Community Survey and the work undertaken since.

The Story of Broadwell – Review Draft
This accompanying document brings together the story of the village, its character, history and development. It is very much a work in progress and is intended to remain a living local history.

Read and download the documents

Both documents can be read or downloaded below.

Have we got anything wrong?

This stage is a report-back and final accuracy check, rather than a new survey or full consultation.

We would particularly like to hear from you if you identify:

  • a factual error
  • a significant omission
  • a statement that you believe is unsupported
  • anything that is seriously unclear.

Please send comments on the Village Plan by Wednesday 16 September 2026 to clerk@broadwellparishcouncil.gov.uk.

Comments received by this date will be considered before the Parish Council meeting on 23 September 2026, when the Council will discuss the draft and consider adopting the Plan.

Help us continue The Story of Broadwell

The Story of Broadwell is intended to continue developing after the Village Plan has been completed. We would be delighted to receive memories, photographs,

documents, corrections and other material that can help build a richer record of Broadwell and its community.

We would also be pleased to hear from anyone interested in helping to develop the project.

There is no 16 September deadline for these longer-term contributions to The Story of Broadwell. They will continue to be welcomed as the project develops.
